Welcome to the South Carolina Access to Justice (SCATJ) Commission’s website.
The South Carolina Access to Justice (SCATJ) Commission was created by the South Carolina Supreme Court in January 2007 to address barriers to legal representation. The SCATJ Commission is charged to identify civil legal needs and develop a long-term plan to provide these services for South Carolinians with low income or of modest means.
The purpose of this website is to provide you with information about state and national trends of access to justice, refer you to helpful resources, and respond to questions and concerns about barriers to legal representation for South Carolinians with low income or modest means.
If you have additional questions or concerns, please let SCATJ know. Please send comments by email, U.S. Mail, Fax, or phone.
I look forward to working with you to bring equal access to justice to all South Carolinians.
Robin F. Wheeler, Esquire
Executive Director, SCATJ Commission
